I'd reached a stopping point in the first piece I worked on, then looked at my thumb with the piece hanging off of it and thought, \"...now what?\" I couldn't come up with a quick and easy way to set my work-in-progress aside without risking losing the working loops.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA few solutions already exist: a small stick, removable knitting\/crochet stitch markers, or even the nalbinding needle itself. But I wanted something more fun, more secure, and less likely to snag on the fibers of the yarn. I also wanted to be able to more easily tell which loop was the front and which was the back.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Loopship is a small tool designed to make it easy and convenient to capture your working loops when setting nalbinding aside temporarily. Each half of the ship slots into one of the loops, and the mast and sail securely separate the loops. \"Sail\" it forward toward the front loop for a good visual indicator of which one it is.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe smoothed points mean it won't snag or pierce your yarn, and the small shields on either side of the hull provide just a little bit of extra grip to keep the loops in place.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTotal size of the Loopship is 1.5\" long, 5\/8\" wide, and 1\" tall (40mm x 16mm x 24mm).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e3D printed from high quality, durable, bio-based PLA plastic.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNalbinding needles, yarn, or finished work not included.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThese Loopships are fully functional but have some cosmetic flaws (burbles or globs in the finish, significant discoloration, a cat hair got stuck in it, etc). They work as intended, but are less attractive.
