Tatting Thread

As a specialty fiber art, tatting needs specialty fiber. Crochet cotton often isn't spun tightly enough, nor does it have enough plies. Your best bet is a tightly spun mercerized 6-ply cotton thread.

Different thread sizes can change the overall size of your finished work. The larger the size number, the smaller the thread. For example, size 80 thread will be much smaller than size 10.

Use the filters to help narrow down your thread selections by fiber content, brand, size, etc.
