Meadow is a gently spun single-ply British Suffolk wool yarn that is incredibly soft and lightweight, perfect for knitting chunky garments and accessories. All ten colors in this range are subtle mixture mélange shades, with three natural undyed colors.
Each color is inspired by English wildflowers, and the range is carefully selected to create a unique palette.
All Baa Ram Ewe wool yarn is mulesing-free.
Our notes
After making a few of our own projects with this yarn, here's what we've found:
A little splitty: Depending on how you work with the yarn, it may untwist slightly as you work. This happens most noticeably when nalbinding, if you find yourself turning the needle as you make each stitch. Just give the working yarn or your yarn ball a few turns to introduce more twist back into the yarn and it'll help reduce splitting or breaking.
Works up quickly: Because of this yarn's bulky weight, it works up very quickly into thick, warm garments and accessories.
Prickle factor: People who are sensitive to scratchy wool shouldn't plan on using this for next-to-skin garments.
Heathered colors: The colors have some mild variation in them, giving finished pieces a lovely heathered look with beautifully blended shades.
Stitch definition: We love how this yarn looks when worked up. The stitch definition is fantastic.

Please note: Certain colors may bleed, especially dark colors and vibrant ones. Always make a test swatch and block it, if you’re concerned about color bleeding. To help reduce bleeding, block with cold water, use color catching sheets in the water, only use one color, or stay away from high-contrast colorwork.
