Tangle Tamer STL Bundle

Keep your yarn happy and tangle-free with this compact, convenient tool. The clever design fits securely around any flat bag handle up to 3/16" (5mm) thick and 1 3/8" (35mm) wide. Whether you're doing complex colorwork or working with a single strand, the Tangle Tamer easily turns your project bag into a portable yarn bowl.

The best part? The Tangle Tamer doesn't have to stay on your yarn, or on your bag. Clip your yarn in place while on the go, and easily remove your yarn to put in back into your favorite at-home yarn bowl once you get home. Two small tabs on the end of the Tangle Tamer make it easy to open it as needed.

The strong magnets built into the Tangle Tamer keep it securely on your bag and around your yarn. It also comes with a built-in loop to attach a chain, lanyard, or even scrap yarn to securely attach it to your project bag handle, just in case the Tangle Tamer is accidentally opened.

Working with multiple strands for colorwork? Keep your yarn from tangling together by using multiple Tangle Tamers. For best results, attach each Tangle Tamer to different bag handle sections.

Parts list

To make a Tangle Tamer with all the same features and options as my pre-made version, you will need:

• 2 - 6mm x 3mm cylindrical magnets
• Superglue - I prefer Loctite 45198
• Sharpie or other permanent marker

Printing recommendations

3D print this ready-to-go STL file in your choice of material and color; I use PLA.

• Printing with a 0.2mm or 0.25mm high-detail nozzle is highly recommended.
